Come celebrate through dance, the rich musical history and influence of the most musical city in the USA, New Orleans, Louisiana, with Mama Digdown's Brass Band from Madison Wisconsin, and Tuba Luba from Seattle.  YBB has a strong NOLA influence in our music and we're excited to be able to play our first show at Plan B Saloon in this fashion. 

Mama Digdown's Brass Band: For the past 12 years Mama Digdown's has traveled the world spreading the gospel of New Orleans brass band music. While Mama Digdown's nods respectively to the tradition of New Orleans jazz, the street beat they add has earned them the reputation as one of the hottest and hardest hitting brass bands. Mama Digdown's has played hundreds of shows in their time together and is equally at home in concert halls and in the second line parades of New Orleans. The band has shared bills with such musical legends as The Neville Brothers, Dr. John, The Dirty Dozen and Buddy Guy. Bob French, New Orleans drummer and former member of Fats Dominos band, said of Mama Digdown's "I don't know if the folks up there in Wisconsin know what they have, these Digdown cats can play!" Whether you catch them uptown, downtown or back-o–town, Mama Digdown's Brass Band will make you shake what your mama gave ya!

Tuba Luba: Are you having trouble finding time to Do Whatcha Wanna? Do you Feel Like Funkin it Up but the world won’t letcha? Are you finding opportunities to shake that ass fewer and farther between? Tubaluba is on the scene to cure this travesty of funklessness. A New Orleans 2nd Line band based out of Seattle, WA, Tubaluba is just the grease you need to shake what yo mama gave ya. Tubaluba brings vocals, piano, drums, and a mess of horns to the party, serving up New Orleans classics with second line-ified R&B tunes and booty-shaking originals.
