Yogoman Burning Band is happy to be playing the Boom Boom Room, a well renowned house of blues, funk, soul, intl., rNb an New Orleans music in the heart of SF next to the Fillmore.

Yogoman Burning Band has been bringing their original dance music to audiences since 2006 from the heart of the Pacific Northwest in Washington State (Bellingham & Seattle, WA), where dance music lingers like a ghost under the surface of the music scene but is recently cracking the surface due in part to these locals. YBB is breaking down barriers at their shows and encouraging participation and movement in our culture through their unique instrumentation of drums, bass, horns and vocals, and tipping the hat to the foundation of Jamaican Music, New Orleans Music, Soul, Funk, Garage, Punk, and Hardcore genres while making their own fabric of this mix.

They will be playing Oregon Country Fair this July and the Summer Arts and Music Festival @ Benbow Lake State Recreation Area in early June.

This evening YBB will be headlining with special guests Pleasuremaker Band, who mix up Brazillian, Funk, Soul and Electronic beats to keep your feet poppin' off the chain! Joey McGuire aka Pleasuremaker is one of the two DJ's (w/ Senor Oz) and originators behind the SF collective AFROLICIOUS who has been packing the Elbo Room with ecclectic line ups (YBB a couple times in it's history) for years and fusing live musicians with electro dance beats from around the globe with a strong tropical/funk emphasis.

Pleasuremaker is a more intimate version and J. McGuire's side of the Afrolicious influence, and less of a jam, but more song/composition based. Most of all, Joey has been a friend to YBB over the years and a great presence in the SF dance music scene and we are looking forward to hearing his music and partying together with our fans and friends at the Boom Boom Room in San Francisco.
